First and second degree burn remedies

It’s been a couple of weeks I was present when a friend got burnt and it could have been terrible, but we followed the steps described below and the result was incredible, not blisters, neither pain, nor stains.
In a fire-fighter course they taught that when you burn yourself, no matter to which degree, first aid is to place the affected zone in cold water until the heat drops and stops to burn the skin layers and, to apply the clear of egg, slightly beaten (beaten only for an easier application).
Last week, when warming up water, a friend let it get to hot; it already was boiling and when she took the pot to dip the water, a great part of her hand were burnet because the boiling water splashed out when she tried to move the pot.
She placed her burnt hand underneath the cold water faucet, enough time to avoid the initial heat, although the pain was tremendous.
Then she took 2 eggs and separated the egg white from the yellow yolk beating the egg white a little. The she applied the beaten egg white on the burnt zones of her hand. Her hand so was burned that, as soon as she placed the egg white upon the skin it dried up and created a film that later we found out, was natural collagen.
During at least one hour she applied layer after layer of egg white on the burnt hand.
In the evening she did not feel anymore pain and on the following day there was hardly a reddish-dwell mark where she had been burnt.
She thought that she would be with a horrible scar, but to everyone’s surprise, after 10 days she was without any burn mark at all, NOTHING! Not even the colour of the skin changed; the burnt zones recovered totally thanks to the collagen in the egg white which in fact is a placenta and therefore is full of vitamins.
